Dr. Sam Lester, DVM

Dr. Lester obtained a Bachelor of Science in Zoology at Connecticut College and earned his DVM degree from Tufts University in 2008. His first job as a veterinarian was at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists, working years in emergency medicine before he opened Coventry Animal Hospital in 2014. His favorite part of being a veterinarian is getting to know the clients and their pets and building long-term relationships with them. Sam’s wife, Carrie, is a veterinary internal medicine specialist and helps out when necessary, performing our abdominal ultrasounds on Tuesdays! When he’s not working, you can find him spending time with his family and two beautiful daughters. They have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a small hobby farm. He enjoys playing hockey and being on or near the ocean.
